Health risk assessment of Hsinta Power Plant
In response to the existing units retirement schedule, the Taiwan Power Company initiated Hsinta Power Plant (HPT) Combined Cycle Project, including installing three gas-fired combined cycle units in adjacent to the existing HPT. The objective of this project is to conduct a human health risk assessment of emissions from the HPT, and an epidemiological study of residents living near the HPT.

The Environmental Monitoring Program for the Erlin Park of Central Taiwan Science Park
The Erlin Park of Central Taiwan Science Park is located between the Wan-Xing Farm and Da-Pai-Sha Farm of the Taiwan Sugar Company. The west location about 6.3km is the Yuan-Lin intersection of Formosa Freeway, the north location is Changhua County Road No.148 (Erxi Road), the south location is Changhua County Road No.150 (Dauyuan Road), the west location is Changhua County Road No.143 (Erxi Road), the east location is Taiwan Road No.19 (Changshui Road). The total area of Erlin Park is about 631 ha.

Environmental Quality Monitoring at Danshuei River Basin during Operation of the Sewerage Systems
The purpose of this project was to monitor the environmental quality of the Danshuei River basin during the operation of the sewerage systems (including pumping station, interception station, sewage treatment plant, and ocean outfall pipeline, etc.). The following items were monitored monthly, quarterly, semiannually and annually in the offshore environment, the vicinity of the Bali Sewage Treatment Plant and at the Shihzihtou, Dihua, Sijhih and Xinzhuang Pumping Stations:
-Offshore water quality, sediments, and marine ecology
-Fishery resources
-Seawater temperature and salinity
-Investigation of the topographic variation along the ocean outfall pipelines
-Estuarine water quality, air quality, noise and vibration monitoring.
