The Project of International Convention and International Exchange for Promoting the Management of Chemical Substances

Abstract:
  1. The latest information of the Stockholm Convention and international control strategies were collected, and recommendations for control strategies were proposed to related administrative agencies in Taiwan.
  2. For the effectiveness evaluation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury and the management of mercury-containing waste, the project also proposed the references and directions for future efforts in Taiwan refer to the implementation of other countries.
  3. The latest information on the Rotterdam Convention and management strategies adopted by other countries was collected, and the project proposed an assessment of the practices and feasibility, as well as planning the structure of the information website.
  4. The latest information on lists of highly concerned substance and management strategies for endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) from other countries was collected.
  5. The project also renewed the content of the websites, optimized a reporting and management information system for cross-departmental implementation accomplishment and planned a prototype system for demonstration of effectiveness.
