As Taiwan’s resource circulation and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) management systems become more robust, operational regulations for SRF producers and users have become more clearly defined, guiding the industry toward compliance and consistent SRF quality. To help authorities efficiently monitor industry operations and source material flows, the Ministry of Environment commissioned Sinotech Engineering Services, Ltd. to build the “SRF Management System” in 2025.
SRF producers and users previously submitted data through the “Industrial Waste Report and Management System (IWR&MS),” but relevant SRF information was scattered across the existing reporting system's modules, limiting overall statistical analysis and trend monitoring. The new system consolidates these data and provides dedicated dashboards for visualization and analysis.
The system presents nationwide SRF production and usage, facility locations, and trends, supporting authorities in integrated monitoring. It also includes an electronic document management platform that allows facilities to upload and manage SRF inspection reports, sales contracts, and ISO 9001 quality documents efficiently. CCTV live view from key operational areas is integrated for competent authorities’ review, enhancing oversight and record-keeping.
Implemented as a functional module within IWR&MS, the system does not change reporting procedures. By centralizing and analyzing data, it improves authorities’ decision-making efficiency and precision, strengthening the regulatory framework for the SRF industry.
