Circular economy has become an important strategy for countries worldwide to address environmental challenges. In this context, Japan, as a highly industrialized and resource-limited nation, has been dedicated to promoting the development of a circular economy and has achieved a series of significant accomplishments. Japan possesses rich experience and advanced technology in resource recycling, waste management, and energy utilization, making it one of the leaders in the circular economy.
To understand Japan's methods and technologies in promoting resource recycling and the current development of recycling equipment, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has implemented the "Promotion of Energy Resource Integration and Industrial Symbiosis Program". In collaboration with the Taiwan Resource Recycling Association, we are organizing the "2024 Tokyo N-EXPO Environmental Exhibition and Resource Recycling Plant Visit" in Japan. This initiative aims to promote technical and industrial cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in resource recycling, strengthen the development of Taiwan's circular economy, and advance the environmental industry. This visit will also serve as a reference for the future implementation of our company's projects.
This visit will involve six circular economy-related companies in the Tokyo area of Japan and the 2024 NEW Environmental Exhibition (N-EXPO). The companies include:
• J Biofood Recycle Co., Ltd.: Development of anaerobic digestion and biogas power generation technology for organic waste.
• Corelex Sanei Co., Ltd. Tokyo Plant: Zero-emission waste paper recycling.
• Tanaka Precious Metals Shonan Plant: Recovery and recycling of rare and precious metals.
• Resonac Co., Ltd. Kawasaki Plant: Development of technology for converting waste plastics into raw materials.
• Panasonic Eco Technology Kanto Co., Ltd.: Development of smart machinery for recycling waste home appliances.
• Sanwayuka Industry Co., Ltd. Ibaraki Plant: Resource recovery from waste solvents and mixed waste liquids.
Through attending the Japan Tokyo Environmental Exhibition, we will gain insights into the latest environmental technologies and products on display, and understand the newest recycling models, equipment, and development achievements. The visit includes tours of various facilities and laboratories, as well as in-depth discussions and exchanges with experts and industry professionals. This will help establish long-term cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in resource recycling, bringing new inspiration and momentum to the development of Taiwan's circular economy.
Additionally, the "2024 NEW Environmental Exhibition (N-EXPO)" is Japan's largest annual exhibition focusing on waste recycling, water treatment, bioenergy, and ecological protection. The range of equipment showcased at the exhibition will provide insights into the recent focus areas of Japan's environmental and resource recycling industries.
