The 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties  (COP27) was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from November 7 to November 18, 2022. The core spirit of the conference was “Together for implementation”, aiming to implement the climate promise together with all parties. 

The two-week meeting had fallen into a stalemate and was extended by thirty hours due to too many controversies in climate negotiations. Finally, a historic agreement to provide “Loss and Damage” funding for vulnerable countries was reached, which was a breakthrough toward on the issue of climate compensation. Meanwhile, countries reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the carbon reduction target of controlling temperature rise to 1.5°C, and global emissions in 2030 should be reduced by 43% compared with those in 2019.
