On February 11, 2026, the Tainan City Environmental Protection Bureau held a boiler ignition ceremony for Tainan Chengxi Incinerator BOT. The ceremony was presided over by Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che, with key officials including Hsu Jen-tse, Director General of the Tainan EPB, and Chou Li-min, CEO of HDEC, in attendance. Representing Sinotech Engineering Services, LTD., General Manager Sun Shih-chin led Assistant Manager Lin Wei-chou and relevant team members to witness this critical milestone.

"The Tainan Chengxi Incinerator BOT Project" was implemented as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). Sinotech Engineering Services, LTD. assisted the Tainan EPB through the preliminary stages, including tender preparation, solicitation of private participation, evaluation, contract negotiation, and post-award contract administration and project management. Since construction began in 2023, the project has overcome challenges such as Market price volatility and catastrophic typhoons.

Through precise progress control and cross-interface integration, Sinotech Engineering Services, LTD. helped the Tainan EPB and the project company ensure that construction surpassed the 95% completion mark, moving steadily into the trial operation phase. This ignition symbolizes that the project has entered the final stage of system integration testing and functional verification. Once operational, the facility will serve as a next-generation waste treatment hub, combining renewable energy production with low-carbon sustainability.
