Optimizing Pulverized Coal Combustion for Improving NOx and Loss Of Ignition by Artificial Intelligence (AI)

For reducing NOx, the increase in Loss Of Ignition (LOI) in fly ash from Cogeneration leads to decrease in energy efficiency and difficulty in ash disposal. This study introduces combustion optimization technology to effectively reduce LOI. In the future, it can be expanded to other combustion behaviors (SRF, waste incineration, gas, etc.). This study is the first case in Taiwan which AI is used for combustion optimization, which is innovative.
